International Dialog Day – “Celebrating Greece” – ISR International School on the Rhine

Greek Day was a fun-filled Friday afternoon that brought a multitude of cultures together to celebrate the Greek culture. An action packed program offered a variety of activities, performances, and Greek culinary delicacies. Students were enthralled in the different art workshops that were offered. Creating a mosaic, drawing sketches, and stuffing personally designed pillows kept students and families entertained for hours.

A cooperation of the Greek Elementary School Choir and the ISR’s Choir blew many onlookers away, as children from different nations came together to sing songs in Greek. The Greek Gymnasium Dance Group spread the proud dance tradition and fired up the audience who clapped along to show their support. We also welcomed the talented Leibniz-Gymnasium Theater Group as guest performers.

Thank you Ms. Ionna Kosma, Mr. Adam Karamanlis, and Coco-Mat for bringing artistic flare to this occasion. Also, thank you Mr. Grigoris Delavekouras, General Consul of Greece, and Mr. Pavlos Efmorfidis, founder and CEO of Coco-Mat, for sharing a few words with us. Additionally, thanks to NIKOLAOU and Cafe BYZANTIO for providing delicious food and METRO Neuss for donating fantastic prizes. Thank you to all students, parents and teachers from ISR and the Greek schools who joined us to make this such a delightful evening. Last but not least, none of this would have been possible without the wonderful planning from the parent association “Internationaler Dialog e.V.”. Thank you Internationaler Dialog for bringing such a great event to ISR!
